Congratulations to our first PhD student!

We are very proud of Tristan Guezennec, a PhD student at Photonics Bretagne since 2022, who successfully defended his thesis entitled ‘Sοurces paramétriques fibrées pοmpées par impulsiοns à fοrte dérive de fréquence : perfοrmances et dynamique’ at the University of Rouen Normandie.

The aim was to pool our expertise in the manufacture and characterisation of special optical fibres and fibre components with that of the CORIA CNRS laboratory (Rouen) in the development of ultrafast high-energy fibre oscillators.

This was a particularly important moment for Photonics Bretagne, with the graduation of its first doctoral student, marking the culmination of a fruitful collaboration with Coria that will continue in the very near future with new developments on the same subject!
