5/09/2024 – There’s something new in the Trégor in September! The Lycée Félix Le Dantec in Lannion is opening a new “Baccalauréat Professionnel Optique Photonique: Technologies de la lumière”, with around fifteen students in the first intake.
The Bac Pro Optics Photonics is a level 4 diploma designed to train technicians to work in the fields of optics, imaging, fibre optics and lasers. Once they have completed their training, holders of the Bac Pro Optics Photonics can either enter the world of work as an operator or technician, or continue their studies in a BTS Photonics, a course also offered at the Lycée Felix Le Dantec.
This professional baccalaureate complements the already extensive range of higher education opportunities in photonics in the region, from professional baccalaureate to doctorate, including BTS, 2 BUT and engineering training. Companies in the sector, of which there are also many in Lannion and throughout Brittany, now have a diverse pool of qualified young graduates, at all levels, for all professions. A real strength!
