14/06/2024 – Co-organised with EPIC, Photonics Bretagne hosted their meeting on special optical fibres: new designs and new applications in Perros-Guirec on 12 and 13 June. Around fifty participants from all over Europe attended 20 expert talks on 4 themes: fibres for lasers, fibres for detection, fibre preparation and characterisation, and fibres for light transmission. The programme also included visits to photonics companies in Lannion such as Exail, Lumibird, Kerdry, Oxxius, Idil Fibres Optiques and Photonics Bretagne. The Pink Granite Coast all the guests with the quality of the local photonics expertise, but also with its exceptional setting facing the sea, all enhanced by the sunny weather!
