The ALCOVE project (Active Large Mode Area Optical Fibre with Speciality Coating for Versatile Environments) aims to provide technological solutions that address the challenges of innovation and self-sufficiency in the field of high-temperature-resistant coatings for optical fibres and fibre-optic lasers.
Our objective: To combine our patented very large modal area (VLMA) active fibre technology with a high-temperature polymer or metallic coating that will extend its range of applications to extreme environments.
