The ID4mobility cluster and Photonics Bretagne are co-organising a webinar on the topic ‘Mobility & Photonics: technological advances and applications’.
🗓️ Thursday 28 May 2026
🕚 11am to 12pm
📍 Online
Photonics plays a key role in the evolution of mobility systems by providing advanced solutions in detection, perception and communication. From optical sensors to AI-driven data processing, these technologies help improve the reliability, safety and adaptability of systems, even in complex environments.
This technical webinar offers a comprehensive overview, from photonic components to real-world applications. It will highlight:
- A value chain perspective: sensors, data processing, integration.
- Concrete industry feedback spanning multiple sectors
- Current limitations and upcoming developments
The aim is to share the state of the art in these technologies and illustrate their implementation through operational projects and use cases.
PROGRAMME:
- Roadview Project: Perception and decision-making systems enabling autonomous vehicles to operate reliably in adverse conditions (rain, snow, fog)
Canon Research Center | Isabelle Morvan, Research and Development Engineer
- On-board sensors in complex environments for safer mobility
Texys | Jean Philippe Godin, Application Engineer
- 3D LiDAR analysis software: Making the most of sensor data to understand the environment (detection, classification, traffic management, etc.)
Outsight | Raul Bravo, Founding President
- Operational constraints of perception and physical limitations of photonic sensors for agricultural machinery and defence
Sherpa Engineering | Damien Grolleau, Director of the Nantes office
