Photonics Bretagne, along with 22 of its members – Exail, Cailabs, Le Verre Fluoré, BKtel Photonics, Oxxius, Lumibird, EXFO, HEF Photonics, Leukos, Silentsys, Thales, Amplitude Laser, Imagine Optic, Data-Pixel, ALPhANOV, ALPHA-RLH, Irisiome, Laser Components, TOPTICA Photonics, OptoSigma, Aerotech, Inc. and Vanguard Automation – exhibited at Photonics West in San Francisco. This was an opportunity to represent Breton photonics on the French Pavilion and to showcase our skills in the design of special optical fibres, components and biophotonic engineering. Frédéric Jung, Consul General of France in San Francisco, praised France’s expertise: « France is one of the world’s top 5 players in photonics, with more than 1,000 companies, sales of $20 billion and nearly 100,000 jobs.
